Resident Evil Requiem Leon Must Die Forever Mod Released
Resident Evil Requiem offers another reason for players who have completed the main story to enjoy it. Capcom has released a new mini-game mode, previously hinted at briefly, without any major announcement. This free mode, called Leon Must Die Forever, is particularly appealing to players who enjoy high-difficulty challenges.
What Does the Resident Evil Requiem Leon Must Die Forever Mode Offer?
Leon Must Die Forever unlocks after completing the main story. In this mode, players control Leon and try to clear numerous levels. Unlike the main story, the pace is much faster, the action is more intense, and the margin for error is quite low. According to Capcom, the mode is built around special power-up abilities and replayability.
Players will progress through a total of 20 stages, striving to reach the final boss battle against Victor. However, the challenge lies in the mode’s roguelike structure. Death is permanent, and players’ weapons and abilities are randomly assigned. This makes each attempt unique, and the difficulty increases progressively as you advance.
The mode features multiple difficulty levels, including an extremely high difficulty mode designed only for truly confident players. As the name suggests, Leon Must Die Forever is designed to make players die frequently, placing this cycle at the heart of the experience.
This isn’t the first time Capcom has used the “Must Die” concept. The Ethan Must Die mode in Resident Evil 7 similarly challenged players with random items, traps, and high difficulty. Similarly, the Village of Shadows mode in Resident Evil Village significantly increased the game’s intensity. In this respect, Leon Must Die Forever seems like the latest installment in Capcom’s tradition of challenging expansions, bringing it to Requiem.
Resident Evil Requiem is expected to receive even larger DLC content in the future. However, for now, Capcom is offering players a free and rather brutal challenge. Keeping Leon alive will be harder than ever this time.
