Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria Announced

Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria has finally been officially announced, bringing a smile to the faces of players nostalgic for the series. This new project, a collaboration between THQ Nordic and SparklingBit, aims to bring back the spirit of Sacred with a modern twist, while offering a retro feel with its 16-bit RPG style. A Kickstarter campaign will launch on April 14, 2026, to raise funds before its release.

Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria Returns with the Old Spirit

Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria reinterprets the humor, sense of exploration, and frenzy of the classic series in a 16-bit visual style. An Ancaria filled with pixel chaos, loot hunting, and dungeons awaits players. Furthermore, THQ Nordic confirms that the game will play to nostalgia while also offering new mechanics.

The new game will allow you to form a party of four, and while each character may consider themselves a leader, the team dynamics will be entirely under the player’s control. Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria promises both tactical and humorous gameplay in this respect. The return of classic character types will also excite those familiar with the series.

The locations also feature numerous familiar landmarks that will delight fans of the series. The Seraphim Monastery, Shaddar’s Tower, and even the famous morning scent of Porto Vallum are revitalized in Last Pixel of Ancaria. These throwbacks, combined with the retro feel, inject a strong sense of nostalgia into the game.

Sacred: Last Pixel of Ancaria will also feature plenty of humor. Good jokes, bad jokes, dirty jokes, and frequent winking nostalgic references clearly define the game’s tone. While more details are expected to be shared with the Kickstarter campaign, Sacred fans are already eager for this fun retro return.
