Steam Leak Reveals Content for Half-Life Episode 3 and Portal

A massive data leak is reportedly underway at Valve. According to shared information, over 12 TB of development materials have been examined by data miners. The leaked files include unused models, early designs, and various content from the development process for projects such as Left 4 Dead, Portal, CS:GO, and the canceled Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

Steam Leak Reveals Valve’s Canceled Projects

One of the most interesting aspects of the leak is the revelation of early development content for Portal 2. The files reportedly contain materials from a playable beta version of the game, previously unseen versions of Cheryl, and a different weapon design. This content demonstrates the diverse ideas Portal 2 underwent during its development.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3 also contains noteworthy materials. Some leaked animations are said to indicate a planned zombie enemy that can use weapons and actively participate in combat. In addition, various 3D weapon models, items, and previously unseen development assets have begun to emerge from the files.
