The Big Story Detail on the GTA 6 Cover
The GTA 6 cover art not only revealed the game’s official box design but also sparked fans searching for new clues about the story. After a long period of silence, Rockstar Games announced that pre-orders for the game would begin on June 25th and shared the official cover art. Maintaining the classic Grand Theft Auto style, the design highlights the characters, vehicles, and the Vice City atmosphere, but some players believe one particular detail could hold significant importance in the story.
GTA 6 Cover Art Strengthens Raul Bautista Theory
At the bottom of the cover art, Raul Bautista is seen holding an assault rifle. The character, previously seen in trailers and screenshots, is this time wearing a white suit and purple shirt. This choice of attire reminded many fans of Lance Vance from GTA: Vice City.
Lance Vance is remembered in the Vice City story as the character who betrayed Tommy Vercetti. Raul’s similar clothing style and colors have led players to wonder if Rockstar is making a deliberate reference here. On social media, some fans suggest Raul might also betray Jason and Lucia, while others think it would be too obvious and predictable.
A new statement added to the game’s official website by Rockstar has fueled these theories. The statement explains that Jason and Lucia are drawn into a dark criminal conspiracy spanning Leonida when what seems like an easy job goes wrong. It emphasizes that the pair will have to trust each other more than ever to survive.
Raul Bautista is introduced as an experienced bank robber. Described as someone who seeks out talent willing to take big risks for big rewards, it seems likely his path will cross with Jason and Lucia early on. However, whether Raul will truly be a reliable ally or a new figure of betrayal, referencing the Vice City past, remains unclear for now.
