The End of the Road Seems to be in Sight for Battlefield Hardline

Battlefield Hardline tried to bring a fresh perspective to the series when it was released, but it faded into the background over time. Nevertheless, it still held resonance for its long-standing player base. Now, the announcement clearly indicates that the era is coming to an end, especially for console players.

Battlefield Hardline Console Support Ends

According to the announcement, support for Battlefield Hardline on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is completely ending. As of May 22, 2026, the game will be removed from digital stores and will no longer be available for purchase. Therefore, for those who want to acquire the game after this date, the door will be closed on consoles.

But that’s not all. As of June 22, 2026, the game’s online services will also be shut down. This means the game will be completely disabled, especially for the multiplayer side. To be frank, the online experience was the most important element keeping Battlefield Hardline alive.

There’s an important detail here: PC players are not affected by this. The PC version of the game will remain on sale and its online services will remain active. So it’s not a game that’s completely shutting down, but more like a “farewell to the old generation consoles.”

Looking at the overall picture, this decision isn’t very surprising. We’re talking about a game released in 2015, and the new generation consoles have already set the standard. Still, for those who have played for years, these kinds of closures are always a little bittersweet. We can say that the stage is slowly closing for Battlefield Hardline.
