The Legend Who Helped Bloodborne Players for 11 Years is Retiring
Bloodborne still holds a special place for FromSoftware fans; however, the game’s online community is no longer as large as it once was. This situation has led to the end of the road for Noahman, a legendary player who dedicated years to helping other players. Noahman, who helped thousands of players in the Orphan of Kos boss battle in Bloodborne for a full 11 years, announced his retirement because he is now almost never called upon.
Bloodborne Legend Leaves Orphan of Kos Watch
In a post on the FromSoftware subreddit, Noahman said that it was time to say goodbye to Bloodborne and especially the Orphan of Kos battle. Stating that he fought the same boss thousands of times over the years and helped countless players, the player said that he is no longer called upon due to the shrinking community. This led him to cancel his PlayStation Plus subscription.
Orphan of Kos is known as one of Bloodborne’s most challenging and sought-after bosses. Noahman dedicated years of his energy to this battle, believing it was one of the most highly summoned encounters, allowing him to quickly return to the action. Over time, he not only helped but also genuinely came to love the fight.
Noahman estimates he helped approximately 5,000 to 6,000 players defeat Orphan of Kos. His description of the experience is quite charming: “two ships passing each other at night.” A player summons him, Noahman engages in the boss fight, helps the hunter safely reach the harbor, and then quietly goes on his way. A story perfectly suited to the FromSoftware community.
The reason for his retirement is simple but somewhat sad. Noahman stated that he paid for PlayStation Plus almost exclusively to help people in this boss fight, and since he’s no longer summoned, he can’t continue doing so. In a way, one of Bloodborne’s living little legends is quietly fading away. Perhaps if a remake ever comes along, he’ll return to the Orphan of Kos cave; who knows?
