We Were Here Tomorrow Announced
Total Mayhem Games has officially announced a new game that will take their cooperative puzzle series a step further. We Were Here Tomorrow will be released in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The series has reached over 25 million players to date, and the new title promises significant changes in both theme and gameplay. There’s a noticeable innovation, particularly in environmental design and character abilities.
We Were Here Tomorrow Opens a New Chapter in the Series
This time, We Were Here Tomorrow takes players to a retro-futuristic facility called Norcek. This complex, filled with mysterious technology, holds more questions than answers. The two-player first-person experience is again built on communication and trust. The series’ signature radio communication system is retained, but the scope of the facility has been expanded.
For the first time, characters are equipped with asymmetrical abilities. This means that not every player experiences the same thing; each has different knowledge and different tools. Combining these pieces is essential to progress. The puzzles are designed accordingly; they are impossible to solve alone, requiring constant coordination. This approach diversifies the gameplay while preserving the series’ identity.
The environmental design also evolves in a different direction from previous games. Instead of classic castle and snow-themed areas, a more technological, modern, but also unsettling atmosphere has been preferred. On the story side, a clearer narrative and a structure where the mystery unfolds layer by layer are aimed for.
We Were Here Tomorrow is preparing to offer a familiar yet renewed experience for players who follow the series. Although the release date is stated as 2026, more details are expected to be shared in the coming months. It seems like it’s already one of the games that cooperative puzzle lovers can mark on their calendar.
