Trachtenberg states, “The universe has to mature first,” and that they are waiting for the characters and mythology to develop naturally.
While Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands didn’t feature a Xenomorph, it referenced the Alien universe with the Weyland-Yutani synth character. He says he wanted to gradually build the connection between the two universes by featuring a Yautja-synth relationship instead of a human character.
