Why is Adria Arjona Silent About Her Role in Man of Tomorrow?
It’s known that Adria Arjona will be appearing in James Gunn’s Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, but the identity of her character remains undisclosed. Previous rumors suggested she would play Maxima. However, recently, speculation has increased that Arjona could be the new Wonder Woman in the DCU. Her refusal to reveal her role in a recent interview has further fueled the speculation.
Adria Arjona Refuses to Reveal Man of Tomorrow Character
Arjona was asked which character she plays in Man of Tomorrow, but she refused to comment. This, rather than confirming the Maxima rumors, suggests continued secrecy, leading some fans to place more weight on the Wonder Woman possibility. However, there is currently no official confirmation that Arjona will play Diana Prince.
The actress’s physical preparation for the role has also become one of the details supporting the rumors. Arjona said she gained muscles she’d never had before, trained two to three hours a day, and followed a very strict diet. However, such intense preparation isn’t a definitive clue on its own, as it could be meaningful for physically strong characters like Maxima and Wonder Woman.
What Arjona was more eager to share was her reunion with James Gunn and Peter Safran. The duo gave her one of her first film roles in the 2016 film The Belko Experiment. Arjona said that Gunn and Safran played a significant role in her subsequent career opportunities, and that reuniting with this team was very special to her.
Man of Tomorrow will center on Superman and Lex Luthor temporarily joining forces against a greater threat. Brainiac will be the main threat, and the film will also feature Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Hawkgirl, The Engineer, John Stewart, and Blue Beetle. Adria Arjona’s role is currently one of the film’s secrets, and the actress’s recent statement has only deepened the mystery instead of solving it.
