GTA 6 Fans Find New Clue Linking Jason to Arthur Morgan
New official images released by Rockstar Games for GTA 6 have sparked further theories about Jason and Lucia. Jason’s appearance, voice, and overall demeanor, in particular, remind some players of Arthur Morgan, the main character from Red Dead Redemption 2. Lucia has also been included in this new discussion, with some speculating that the pair could be a different version of Arthur and Mary Linton.
GTA 6 Brings Jason and Lucia Closer to Arthur and Mary
The basis of the fan theory is that Jason and Lucia appear to be a version of Arthur and Mary who managed to stay together. The major difference is that the GTA 6 couple operate side-by-side in the criminal underworld. While Arthur and Mary’s relationship constantly felt like separation and impossibility, Jason and Lucia remain in each other’s lives even as circumstances change.
The similarities, particularly regarding Jason, are being discussed more. Players believe the character’s facial features resemble Arthur Morgan’s, and that his voice has a similar gravitas. Jason’s calm and controlled way of speaking, compared to the more exaggerated characters around him, also reinforces this comparison.
Some visual similarities are being drawn between Lucia and Mary. Fans have noticed the similar facial features and moles of the two characters. Of course, none of these connections have been confirmed by Rockstar. The idea that Jason and Lucia are direct counterparts to Arthur and Mary remains purely a fan theory at this stage.
In contrast, it seems much more likely that Rockstar drew inspiration from the character relationships in Red Dead Redemption 2. The parts of GTA 6 shown so far place the bond between Jason and Lucia heavily at the center of the crime story. Moreover, players can choose to develop their romantic relationship or leave them as mere partners in crime.
Therefore, the Arthur and Mary resemblance may be more of a thematic parallel than a direct universe connection. Following Rockstar’s unfinished love story in their last major game, the fact that GTA 6 leaves a similar relationship open to player choice makes the fan theory even more intriguing.
