Avengers: Doomsday Could Bring Back Three Former Avengers Members
While it’s reported that reshoots for Avengers: Doomsday are underway in the UK, it’s claimed that some familiar names, not previously featured in official cast announcements, have returned to the set. There are rumors of new developments regarding Sam Wilson as Captain America, Bruce Banner as Hulk, and Scarlet Witch. However, it’s important to note that all of this information has not yet been confirmed by Marvel Studios.
Avengers: Doomsday May Reunite the Old Avengers Roster
The first new claim concerns Anthony Mackie. It’s suggested that Sam Wilson is participating in reshoots, potentially giving Captain America a more prominent role than expected. A similar rumor exists for Mark Ruffalo. It’s claimed that the actor left another production set to participate in a one-day MCU shoot for Avengers: Doomsday.
Scarlet Witch’s side is a bit more mysterious. It’s rumored that Wanda Maximoff might not appear directly, but instead be included in the story through her connection to the Latverian Witches under Doctor Doom’s control. This theory is based on the idea that Wanda was punished or controlled by Doom after the chaos she created in the Multiverse of Madness.
It’s also suggested that some of the footage is preparation for a crossover to Avengers: Secret Wars. Rumors suggest that some characters might appear in Battleworld in new roles under Doctor Doom’s control. Previously leaked concept art allegedly showed Yelena Belova as one of the characters serving Doom.
Rumors that Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye character will return in Avengers: Secret Wars also support this scenario. For now, there’s no official confirmation for Sam Wilson, Hulk, and Scarlet Witch. However, if the claims from the footage are true, Avengers: Doomsday could create a bigger bridge before Secret Wars, bringing together not only new heroes but also the old Avengers roster.
