Xbox Helix Will be 40% More Powerful than PS6
A new claim has emerged regarding the power difference between the Xbox Helix and the PS6. Kepler_L2, known for hardware leaks, suggests that Microsoft’s next-generation console could offer approximately 40 percent higher performance compared to Sony’s rival. According to the claim, the Helix is expected to reach 56 TFLOPS on the GPU side, while the PS6 will remain around 40 TFLOPS. For now, neither Microsoft nor Sony has confirmed these figures.
Claim of 56 TFLOPS Power for Xbox Helix
According to information shared by Kepler_L2, the Xbox Helix will not only have higher raw GPU power but also a larger power budget. This suggests that Microsoft may be taking a more aggressive approach to performance in the next generation. However, it’s important to remember that TFLOPS values alone don’t determine actual gaming performance, and architectural differences can significantly impact the results.
The leak also contains some noteworthy details about the PS6. It claims the new PlayStation will offer approximately twice the raw performance of the PS5, 12 times higher ray tracing capabilities, and 50 to 70 times more powerful AI computing performance. A significant leap in neural rendering is also expected.
Kepler_L2 also suggests that both consoles’ chip designs have completed the tape-out phase. This term indicates that the design is complete enough to be sent to production. If this information is accurate, a release date of late 2027 for both the Xbox Helix and PS6 could become more realistic.
However, all this information is currently at the leak stage. Whether the Xbox Helix will truly be 40% faster than the PS6 will only become clear when the final hardware, power limits, and actual gaming tests are revealed. Microsoft and Sony have not yet officially shared the technical specifications of their next-generation consoles.
