A New Nintendo Switch Lite Model is Coming Exclusively to Europe
Despite being seven years old since its release, the Nintendo Switch Lite remains a part of Nintendo’s plans. Even though the Switch 2 era has begun, the company is preparing new bundles to utilize existing stock and cater to different player groups. The new Switch Lite bundle, exclusive to Europe, will be one of the latest examples of this.
Nintendo Switch Lite to be Released with New Game Bundle
The new bundle will include a turquoise Nintendo Switch Lite along with a digital download code for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. A 30-day Nintendo Switch Online trial will also be included in the bundle. Sales across Europe are planned to begin on October 29, 2026.
Nintendo hasn’t yet announced the official price of the bundle. However, based on similar past bundles, a price tag of around €219.99 is expected. If this figure is confirmed, considering the game alone costs €59.99 and the Switch Lite costs around €199.99, it could be a more advantageous option for those buying the bundle.
The timing of the new bundle is also noteworthy. It’s suggested that Nintendo is trying to reduce its current Switch Lite stock due to the European Union’s planned requirement for user-removable batteries in some electronic devices from 2027. The company had previously started releasing new Switch 2 hardware that complied with this rule in the European market.
Nintendo is preparing new bundles not only for the Switch Lite but also for other models. The Switch 2 will receive Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and Mario Kart World bundles, while the classic Switch model will be sold with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Despite this, the fact that the Nintendo Switch Lite bundle is being prepared exclusively for Europe shows that the company hasn’t completely abandoned the seven-year-old device. If a reasonable price is announced, the new bundle could still be a sensible alternative, especially for gamers who prioritize portability and aren’t considering upgrading to the Switch 2.
