ARC X1 Will Deliver Smooth Gaming with It’s 120Hz Screen
The ARC X1 has been introduced as a new Android handheld console developed by ARC, an India-based gaming startup. The device stands out not only for its high refresh rate screen but also for its large battery, interchangeable parts, and controller-focused custom interface. Available in a single configuration, the model aims to combine Android games with cloud services and emulators all in one device.
ARC X1 Comes with a 120Hz Screen and a 9,300 mAh Battery
The ARC X1 features a 7-inch LTPS LCD screen on the front with a 1920×1080 resolution. The panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness. On the hardware side, it uses the Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 Gaming Platform, manufactured using a 4nm process. This is accompanied by an octa-core Kryo CPU and Adreno A22 GPU.
The single version of the device features 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card. On the control side, it includes TMR analog sticks, Hall-effect triggers, micro-switch buttons, two programmable rear buttons, six-axis motion sensing, and dual LRA vibration motors.
ARC’s custom software, called OwlOS, runs on AOSP. The interface is entirely designed for controller use and brings together Android games, emulators, and cloud gaming services in one place. Features include per-game profiles, key remapping, FPS display, resolution scaling, and Quick Resume, which allows you to resume gameplay from where you left off after restarting.
The battery offers a 9,300 mAh capacity and 27W USB-PD charging support. The company claims over eight hours of use in the lowest power mode. Furthermore, the battery and joystick modules are user-replaceable. The ARC X1 will be available for pre-order in India with a starting price of approximately $308, and initial deliveries are planned for the first quarter of 2027.
