Beast of Reincarnation is Being Prepared with a Small Cast from Game Freak
Beast of Reincarnation, which was shown again during the Xbox Developer Direct, managed to attract attention with its atmosphere and scale. This production from Game Freak, a studio rarely known for projects outside of Pokémon, is preparing to offer an experience quite outside of its usual style. New information shared about the development process of Beast of Reincarnation has further increased curiosity about the game’s behind-the-scenes aspects.
Beast of Reincarnation Takes Shape with External Support
The development process behind Beast of Reincarnation presents a different picture than initially expected. Although the scale and ambitious nature of the game give the impression that the studio is working with a large internal team, this is not exactly the case. Game Freak is conducting the core development process with a small main team.
According to the development team, the core team working on Beast of Reincarnation consists primarily of individuals responsible for project management and creative decisions. This core team, which defines the game’s vision, collaborates with numerous external studios and partners at various stages of the production process. This approach allows the game to be realized on the intended scale.
This collaborative model also explains why Beast of Reincarnation looks so different to Game Freak. The studio aims to build a larger and more detailed world set in post-apocalyptic Japan with the technical and creative contributions of external teams. Players will journey alongside Emma the Sealer and her companion Koo towards the source of the corruption threatening humanity.
Beast of Reincarnation is set to launch this summer for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Developed with a small but guiding core team, the game stands out as a significant example of how Game Freak wants to approach projects outside of Pokémon.
