Steam’s new free weekend campaign offers players looking for games of various genres a trial opportunity. Three games included in the campaign can be downloaded and played without any payment for the specified period. However, once the free access ends, the games will not remain in the user’s library and will need to be purchased to continue playing.
Three Games Free for a Limited Time on Steam
The campaign will run until July 20, 2026 at 8:00 PM. Once the free access period ends, the games will need to be purchased to unlock them. Some of the games are also offered at discounted prices during the campaign. Therefore, players who are satisfied with the trial period can permanently add the games to their collections without losing their save files.
MindsEye is a single-player science fiction action game set in the near future. Players control Jacob Diaz, a former soldier searching for answers about his past while investigating a conspiracy linked to artificial intelligence. Featuring vehicle use, third-person combat, and cinematic missions, the main story is said to be completed in approximately 10 to 12 hours.
Empyrion: Galactic Survival combines open-world space exploration with survival and crafting systems. Players need to manage oxygen and hunger levels, fight alien threats, and build bases using the technology tree. While its approximately 60 hours of content might seem challenging to complete in a free weekend, its core mechanics and co-op mode are well worth trying.
Super Battle Golf offers a lighter and faster-paced experience compared to the other two titles. Its fun, multiplayer nature makes it a great option for the promotion, requiring no lengthy learning curve. The three games offered for free on Steam are not permanently distributed. Therefore, users wishing to take advantage of promotion need to download and start playing the games before the timer expires.
