Blight: Survival Releases New Gameplay Footage

Blight: Survival, a dark, medieval-themed co-op horror game, has reappeared with new gameplay footage after a long period of silence. Developed by Behaviour Interactive and Haenir Studio, the game has been on players’ radar since its initial announcement. The fact that it has over 1.5 million wishlists on Steam clearly demonstrates the high expectations for Blight: Survival.

Blight: Survival Returns with New Gameplay Trailer

The newly released trailer features scenes taken from Blight: Survival’s in-game engine. The footage particularly highlights the melee combat system and the impressively animated finisher moves that allow for the elimination of enemies. The game’s slow-paced and risky combat system aims to make every encounter feel truly dangerous.

As some may recall, the game went viral when it was first shown in 2022. That trailer was viewed millions of times and generated significant interest from gamers. Following this success, the development team decided to rework some of the game’s core systems and reshape the development process.

The team is also working to involve the community more in the development process. Small-scale gameplay tests are being conducted, and selected players get a chance to experience the game early. Feedback from these tests directly contributes to the game’s development.

In terms of gameplay, Blight: Survival aims to offer a slightly different structure than classic action-horror games. Players can explore dangerous areas and collect loot, but it’s also possible to continue taking risks for greater rewards. Every decision has a price, and sometimes seizing the right moment to retreat can be the safest way to survive.
