Bloober Team Focuses on New Projects After Silent Hill 2
Bloober Team, a Poland-based game developer known for its horror and thriller games, has shared its plans after the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 remake. The company announced that they are working on two different projects.
What Will Bloober Team’s Mysterious Game Be?
Wojciech Piejko, one of the producers of Bloober Team, stated in a statement that there are two separate development teams within the company. One of these teams will work on the previously announced Cronos: The New Dawn, while the other team will focus on a secret project that has not yet been announced.
Piejko said that after the Silent Hill 2 remake is completed, the team will move into the pre-production phase of a new project. However, he refrained from giving more details about this mysterious project for now.
Announced last October, Cronos: The New Dawn is described as a survival horror game with a third-person perspective. The game will take place in an alternative reality, a post-apocalyptic 1980s Poland. With this intriguing concept, Cronos brings Bloober Team closer to games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., while also carrying traces of Soviet science fiction cinema such as Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker.
On the other hand, in December last year, Bloober Team announced a new partnership with Skybound Entertainment, known for popular franchises such as The Walking Dead and Invincible. It is thought that this partnership may be related to the studio’s mysterious project. Outcast, another important brand of Skybound in the horror genre, is also seen as a suitable option for Bloober Team.
Bloober Team, which is preparing to prove its talent in the horror genre once again with the Silent Hill 2 remake, is expected to come up with new productions that will surprise players in the coming period.
