Lenovo Legion C700 Will be Available to Gamers in August
Lenovo Legion C700 has been introduced as a new portable device focusing on cloud-based gaming experiences rather than relying on local hardware power. Developed in collaboration with Tencent’s START service, the model stands out with its control layout and white design reminiscent of the Legion Go family. While Lenovo hasn’t yet revealed the technical specifications, they have confirmed that comprehensive information about the new device will be shared next month.
Lenovo Legion C700 to Focus on Cloud Gaming
The promotional images released by Lenovo show that the Legion C700 is being developed in collaboration with Tencent START. The model aims to reduce the need for high-performance local components by allowing users to stream games over the internet instead of running them on the device. The company stated that all details of the device will be revealed in August 2026.
The shared images show that the white device uses an asymmetrical Xbox-style control layout. The left analog stick and directional buttons are located in the lower left section, while the right analog stick and ABXY buttons are positioned in the upper right. The rear features additional control buttons and a ventilated area, while the screen displays small thumbnails of games offered via Tencent START.
Lenovo has not yet shared information about the processor model, screen resolution, refresh rate, battery capacity, and connectivity options. Whether the trigger buttons on the controller are analog is also unconfirmed. Pricing and sales plans outside of China remain unclear. These details are expected to become clearer with the upcoming comprehensive launch.
The company previously prepared an Android-based cloud gaming device called Legion Play in 2021, which used an interface developed by Tencent, but did not release the product for sale. The Lenovo Legion C700 shows that the brand is returning to the same concept after many years. This time, the announcement of an official launch period strengthens the possibility that the device will reach consumers, unlike the previous project.
