Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition Comes with a Real Spartan Helmet
4A Games has unveiled a collector’s edition of Metro 2039, scheduled for release next February, ahead of Gamescom. While all the details haven’t been revealed yet, the first item shown has already piqued the interest of Metro fans: a custom, wearable helmet based on the Spartan Ranger design from the game.
Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition Includes Wearable Spartan Helmet
At the heart of the collector’s edition is the Spartan Ranger helmet used by the game’s main character, Stranger. According to the teaser shared by 4A Games, this piece isn’t just a decorative replica; it’s designed to be worn. The scratches, damage marks, and personal details are designed to reflect Stranger’s post-apocalyptic past.
The helmet features a foldable visor and iconic gas mask elements from the Metro series. The development team specifically emphasizes that Spartan helmets are not just a visual symbol in the Metro universe, but a fundamental part of survival in a radiation-filled world. Therefore, the collector’s edition has been designed to be as faithful as possible to the in-game design.
The production number and price have not yet been announced. While the helmet was showcased at the Metro 2039 booth at Gamescom, it is expected to be produced in limited quantities. 4A Games has confirmed that pre-orders for the collector’s edition will open later in the year.
The other content included in the Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition has not yet been shared. For now, the only certainty is that the attachable Spartan helmet will be exclusive to this special edition. For collectors who closely follow the Metro series, this detail alone could make the package quite attractive.
