New Details have been Leaked for The Witcher Co-Op Game
CD Projekt Red’s beloved fantasy RPG series continues to expand with new projects beyond the main games. According to recent rumors, a new The Witcher spin-off game in development will be a co-op focused experience set before the main story of the series. While not yet officially confirmed, the game will reportedly allow players to create and develop their own Witcher characters with different abilities.
The Witcher Co-Op Game May Focus on Creating Your Own Witcher
According to a leak reported by MP1st, the new game will be set in 1230 and players will control their own customizable Witcher characters. It is stated that there will be extensive options for character creation, and the progression system will largely rely on abilities. Players will be able to create their own combat style using abilities from different Witcher schools.
The leak claims the game focuses on PC and mobile platforms, with no console version currently planned. This detail suggests the project might have a different structure than classic Witcher games. The central focus on co-op gameplay also indicates that the combat system could be based on teamwork.
It’s unclear whether this project is connected to the previously announced Project Sirius. CD Projekt Red has previously confirmed working on a multiplayer spin-off in The Witcher universe. The information in the new leak shares some similarities with this project.
On the other hand, the main series continues. The Witcher 4 will be the beginning of a new trilogy featuring Ciri in the lead role. Therefore, the Witcher universe could expand further in the coming period, both with the main games and a possible co-op spin-off.
