Nioh 3 Update 1.06.00 Released

A new free update has been released for Nioh 3, and Team Ninja has brought changes that particularly focus on balancing the late-game aspects. The Nioh 3 1.06.00 update touches on many areas, from Stone of Penance settings and item drop rates to enemy health adjustments and Crucible weapons. The best part for players is that new completion rewards have also been added to the game, increasing replayability.

Nioh 3 1.06.00 Update Increases Rewards

The most notable part of the update is the adjustments to the Stone of Penance. Now, when this system is active, enemies will take more elemental damage, and human enemies’ Ki reactions will work differently. Additionally, the item drop rate in areas outside the Crucible has been brought to the same level as the Crucible when using the Stone of Penance. This could be a welcome relief, especially for players who enjoy hunting for better gear.

There are also significant changes on the equipment side. While the Stone of Penance is active, it’s easier to obtain level 161 and above equipment, the amount of gold earned has been increased, and the selling price of Divine equipment has been raised. Additionally, new rewards have been added for players who re-complete the Enemy Base, Lesser Crucible, Myth, and Master quests. The inclusion of Divine rarity items among these rewards makes re-completing the quests more worthwhile.

Team Ninja has also made adjustments to some enemy behaviors. The frequency of guarding for some human enemies has been reduced, and the health of some enemies within the Within Time Everlasting Battle Scroll has been lowered. Furthermore, the fact that Crucible weapons can now drop within the Lesser Crucible seems to make it slightly easier for players to obtain this equipment.

In terms of bug fixes, issues such as the problem of entry after guarding being corrupted when using spears and odachi, the inability to Grapple Honda Tadakatsu even when its Ki is at zero, and some Battle Scroll enemies not dropping equipment have been fixed. Fixes specific to the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions have also been included in the package. Team Ninja also announced that a new Set Bonus-focused update for Graces will be released in early June.
