Phantom Blade Zero Will Be a Worldwide Hit

Phantom Blade Zero, poised to take the recent rise of the Chinese gaming industry a step further, is set to make a strong impact not only in the local market but also globally. Recent data shared by developer studio S-Game reveals that a significant portion of the interest in the game comes from outside China, suggesting that Phantom Blade Zero could become a global hit.

Phantom Blade Zero Shows Promise for Global Success

According to S-Game, over 50% of Phantom Blade Zero’s wishlists come from players outside of China. The prominence of regions such as Europe and the US, as well as Brazil, Turkey, and the Middle East, clearly shows that the game isn’t just targeting the Asian market. This suggests the game has an appeal that transcends cultural boundaries.

This situation also brings about a noteworthy comparison in terms of the global performance of games originating from China. For example, while Black Myth: Wukong reached sales figures of over 20 million, the majority of this success came from the Chinese market. If Phantom Blade Zero combines a similar sales potential with strong interest in the Western market, it could achieve a much more balanced and widespread success.

The studio has consciously put the brakes on marketing. Unlike previous years, it has been announced that no new trailers will be released in the spring. The reason given is that promotional videos require significant time and manpower, and the remaining time is dedicated to polishing the final version of the game. According to S-Game, quality is always prioritized over promotion.

Phantom Blade Zero, scheduled for release on September 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC, is currently in its most critical development phase. The team is working intensively on content completion, system integration, and gameplay fine-tuning. This approach clearly demonstrates how seriously Phantom Blade Zero takes its goal of not only being an ambitious project, but also a globally acclaimed production.
