PUBG Streamer Offers Employees $66,000 to Have Children
In the gaming world, company benefits for employees are frequently discussed, but the system implemented by PUBG streamer Krafton stands out. The South Korean streamer pays its employees approximately $66,000 per child as part of a maternity and childcare support program. According to new data, this support program has significantly increased birth rates within the company.
Remarkable Family Support from PUBG Streamer Krafton
Krafton launched its maternity and childcare support system for employees in February 2025. According to this program, employees who have children after January 1, 2025, can receive a total of 100 million won in support for each child for life. This amount is approximately $66,000. The company also provides new parents with two years of parental leave and temporary staff support to take over their duties during this period.
According to the latest report, Krafton employees had 46 babies in the first four months of 2026. This represents a significant increase compared to previous years. The company reported 23 births in 2025 and 21 in 2024. This means that with the new support system, the number of births among employees has almost doubled.
Krafton management argues that companies can create real change when they actively participate in solving social problems. Since the low birth rate has long been a serious issue in South Korea, such corporate support is gaining even more importance. The company states that it aims to help employees achieve a healthier work-life balance.
Birth rates in South Korea have shown signs of recovery, albeit slowly, in recent years. It is reported that the birth rate in 2025 is higher than in 2024, and there has also been an increase in the number of marriages. Krafton’s initiative stands out as an interesting example from the gaming industry.
