Rockstar May Transform Miami Into Vice City for GTA 6

An 11-page marketing proposal allegedly submitted by Rockstar Games and Take-Two to Miami-Dade County for the launch of GTA 6 has surfaced. According to the document, the goal is to make players feel like they’re in real Miami, not just on screen. At the heart of the plan is transforming many areas, from Miami International Airport to the city center, beaches, and public transportation, with a Vice City theme.

Miami Could Be Completely Transformed into a Vice City Theme for GTA 6

One of the most striking ideas in the proposal is to give visitors arriving at Miami International Airport the feeling of “arriving in Vice City.” This includes a specially designed exhibition plane, a limited number of baggage tags, photo areas, and visuals emphasizing that Vice City is inspired by Miami.

We’ve also compiled details overlooked in the official GTA 6 presentation in our article, GTA 6 Extended Look: 10 Important Details Missed. The plan isn’t limited to the airport. Tropical Park, Port Miami, Rickenbacker Beach, city public transportation, and even manhole covers are among the locations that could be transformed with a Vice City theme. A giant GTA 6 mural for Downtown Miami, a Vice City radio lab, and different public transportation experiences are also part of the proposal.

In Tropical Park, a Motor Fest-themed event area is envisioned. This would take GTA 6 marketing far beyond classic billboards and trailers, becoming an integral part of the city’s daily life. Such a campaign could be one of Rockstar’s biggest physical marketing efforts to date.

However, there’s an important detail here: the document is only a proposal. Rockstar or Take-Two haven’t yet confirmed that Miami will actually be transformed in this way, and plans could change before the release date. But if the project goes ahead, seeing a Vice City atmosphere on the real streets of Miami during GTA 6’s launch is not at all unlikely.
