In GTA 6, You Decide the Fate of Jason and Lucia’s Relationship

According to new gameplay details revealed by Rockstar, Jason and Lucia want to establish a romantic relationship at the beginning of the game, but whether this will actually happen isn’t entirely certain. Decisions made throughout the story, time spent together, and even reactions to certain messages can change their bond. This could make GTA 6’s main character relationship much more dynamic compared to previous games.

GTA 6 Leaves Jason and Lucia’s Relationship to the Player

The bond between Jason and Lucia will be shaped by various small actions throughout the game. You will be able to switch between the two characters at any time and control them both together in some missions. In addition, the characters can also move around separately. Even ignoring ordinary messages they exchange during the day could negatively affect their relationship.

Players who want to develop their relationship will need to explore Leonida with Jason and Lucia. Shopping, attending different events, and even getting involved in petty crimes together can increase their closeness. It’s noted that Rockstar hasn’t left enough bonding moments in the main story to automatically put the two into a romantic relationship.

Interestingly, this romance won’t directly provide a gameplay advantage. Even if Jason and Lucia drift apart, they will continue to work together on main missions. However, it’s stated that their storylines and dialogues may change depending on their level of connection. This could mean that the same missions can be played with different emotional tones.

It was long thought that GTA 6 would tell a crime story in the style of “Bonnie and Clyde.” The new system makes this idea a bit more flexible. Players can choose to make Jason and Lucia a close couple or keep their distance. How much this will change the ending of the main story is currently unknown.
