Scenes of Lara Croft’s Knife Fight and Motorcycle Escape from the Tomb Raider Set have been Released

While filming continues at a rapid pace on Prime Video’s Tomb Raider adaptation, new images from the set have further heightened anticipation. Scenes filmed in a wooded area show Sophie Turner’s Lara Croft engaging in highly physical sequences. A knife fight followed by a motorcycle escape scene, in particular, already reveals how action-oriented the series will be.

Action Level Rises on Tomb Raider Set

According to the shared set images, Lara Croft is seen running through the trees in an intense knife fight scene. The scene suggests a tougher, more survival-focused version of the character. In the subsequent motorcycle escape sequence, Croft is seen rapidly leaving the area. She is accompanied by Martin Bobb-Semple, who plays the character Zip.

Zip is known as one of Lara’s closest allies in the Tomb Raider universe. His expertise in technology allows him to support Lara in the field, and his active role in the series suggests the adaptation will be closer to the games. There are strong indications that the more “grounded” and realistic tone of the later games will be preserved in the series.

Sophie Turner’s preparation process for the role is also noteworthy. The actress previously revealed that she underwent months of intense physical training. She stated that she worked up to eight hours a day, five days a week, achieving significant fitness and muscle development. Images from the set show that this preparation will be directly reflected on screen.

While an official trailer hasn’t been released yet, the behind-the-scenes images have raised expectations. Prime Video’s Tomb Raider series is planned for 2027. For now, it seems that Lara Croft will appear this time with a tougher, more physical, and more game-oriented interpretation.
