Take-Two CEO was Impressed by GTA 6 Gameplay

As the November 19, 2026 release date approaches, GTA 6 continues to be one of the most talked-about games in the gaming world. While Rockstar has only released a limited number of trailers and visuals so far, a major marketing campaign is expected to begin in the summer. Amidst this silence, recent statements from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick have further raised expectations.

GTA 6 Gameplay Impresses Take-Two CEO

In an interview with Gamefile, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed that he had seen GTA 6 in action. When asked if he had played the game himself, he said he wasn’t a video game gamer and therefore had watched demo presentations instead. However, it seems he was quite impressed by what he saw.

Instead of giving a lengthy explanation of how GTA 6 is taking shape, Zelnick referred to the gameplay seen in the trailer and described it as “amazing.” The CEO had previously stated that GTA 6 would redefine creative standards not only for the series but also for the gaming industry and entertainment world. Therefore, Rockstar’s expectations for the new game are clearly very high.

So far, Rockstar has released trailers for GTA 6 showing the return to Vice City, the two main characters Jason and Lucia, and the overall atmosphere of the game. Some screenshots have also been shared, but details regarding gameplay are still largely kept secret. However, some previously confirmed information includes details such as over 700 shops, the ability to use Jason and Lucia together, a 6-star wanted level, and the length of the story.

Comments from within the industry also suggest that GTA 6 will be very ambitious technically. Some sources claim that the game could offer a level of technical detail that other developers will struggle to match for years. For now, all eyes are on the third trailer. If the rumors are true, Rockstar may soon announce both a new trailer and pre-order and pricing details.
