The First Game in the PS Plus Extra October 2026 Catalog Has Been Announced

PS Plus Extra has confirmed its first game before the full list of upcoming games for October was announced. According to an announcement by Devolver Digital, Mycopunk will be released on October 20, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and will be added to the PS Plus Extra catalog on the same day. The game was previously in early access on PC and will transition to version 1.0 upon its console release.

Mycopunk Coming to PS Plus Extra October 2026 Catalog

Sony had already announced at this month’s State of Play event that Mycopunk would be added to PS Plus Extra on its release day. The only missing information was the release date. With Devolver Digital’s new announcement, it’s now confirmed that the game will be available to subscribers on October 20, 2026.

Developed by Pigeons at Play, Mycopunk is a mission-based looter shooter supporting up to four players. Players control a group of robots hired by a company called SAXON, who are trying to avoid being scrapped.

In the story, the team, called the New Atlas Hazard Crew, attempts to uncover the secrets behind a mysterious fungal outbreak spreading across the planet. Mission-based progression, a weapon and equipment collection system, and cooperative gameplay form the core of the game.

Mycopunk is the first game announced for the PS Plus Extra October 2026 catalog, but the list will not be limited to this. Sony is expected to announce other PS5 and PS4 games on October 14, 2026. This will clarify which games will be added to the catalog alongside Mycopunk.
