The Witcher Season 5 is Coming with Big Surprises

Netflix’s popular fantasy series, The Witcher, is preparing to conclude with its upcoming 5th season. Although the series has been in the spotlight recently due to criticism, information emerging about the new season has renewed fan interest. The latest details suggest that some characters from the past will return in The Witcher season 5.

The Witcher Season 5: Old Characters Return

According to the information received, the characters Lambert and Coen will reappear in the new season. Paul Bullion will play Lambert, and Zates Atour will reprise his role as Coen. Both characters are expected to play significant roles in the story.

However, the return of the Jarre character, played by Joseph Payne, was the real surprise for fans of the series. The character was last seen briefly in an episode of The Witcher Season 2, released in 2021. His reintroduction after so many years is seen as a significant development, especially for long-time fans.

The final season also features the return of Shani (Emily-Jo Young) and Yarpen Zigrin (Jeremy Crawford). It’s speculated that these characters may be involved in events connected to the Battle of Brenna, a significant event in the books.

The official synopsis released by Netflix suggests the final season will present a very dark story. According to the synopsis, as dark forces unite across the continent, Ciri will become the target of a great threat. Geralt and Yennefer will have to fight enemies far greater than any they have faced before as they try to protect their daughter.

Liam Hemsworth stars as Geralt in the final season, which also features Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freya Allan (Ciri), Joey Batey (Jaskier), and Laurence Fishburne (Regis). The Witcher season 5 is expected to be released on Netflix sometime in 2026.
