Two Star Wars games are coming to Nintendo Switch 2
While the announced and anticipated game list for the next-generation Switch 2 currently appears limited, third-party titles are critically important for the console’s future. Although Nintendo’s games have been consistent, players want to see more ambitious and larger-scale productions. The latest rumor suggests this could meet that expectation.
New Star Wars Games on the Agenda for Switch 2
According to information shared in industry circles, Disney wants to more actively support the Switch 2 in its new Star Wars projects. In line with this approach, it is planned to bring some games that have never been released on Nintendo platforms before to the console. The rumors focus particularly on two noteworthy titles.
According to leaked information, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor may be in development for the Switch 2. Neither game has ever been released on a Nintendo console before. Therefore, if the rumors are true, Nintendo players will have the chance to experience the series for the first time.
Released in 2019, Fallen Order holds a strong position among modern Star Wars games. Its sequel, Survivor, received better reviews but was plagued by performance issues at launch. Despite this, the series remains one of the most prominent Star Wars titles today.
The timing of this move also seems logical. With the third and final game in the series known to be in development, these two titles could be a good entry point for Switch 2 users. While there is no official confirmation yet, if the leak is accurate, third-party support for the Switch 2 could be significantly strengthened.
