The game shortage experienced during and after the pandemic process is slowly being resolved. With the end of the pandemic that pushed the release date of many games forward, the postponed games started to come out one by one. Here are the upcoming game releases of 2023.
Since the beginning of the year, games such as Dead Space Remake, Returnal, Wild Hearts and Hogwarts Legacy have already been released. However, of course, it was not enough to satisfy our hunger. We’ll have a more abundant catalogue of new game releases 2022.
Of course, there are many more games that are not on the list. While creating our list, we want you to keep in mind that there are “games we are waiting for”. Resident Evil 4 Remake
Story
Resident Evil 4, set six years after the events in Raccoon City, was released in 2005. Leon Scoot Kennedy had survived the disaster with Claire Redfield, “despite it being his first day on the job”. Joining the American Secret Service, Leon realised that the events in Raccoon City were far from over.
He knew that Umbrella, which looked like a simple pharmaceutical company but made money from biological weapons and viruses, would not easily disappear. A catastrophe like the one in Raccoon City might not happen to him again, but someone would surely be harmed by Umbrella again.

System Shock Remake
Coming from Looking Glass Studios, System Shock is an FPS game with Survival Horror and RPG elements set in the Cyberpunk future.
Story
In 2072, a hacker from the colony of Saturn breaks into the computer system of TriOptimum Corporation and is arrested. Edward Diego, a TriOptimum executive, offers to drop all charges against the hacker and give him a valuable neural implant if he agrees to hack into the data communication network SHODAN. Of course, the hacker agrees and has the operation. However, something goes wrong and he falls into a coma.
Waking up from a six-month coma, the hacker awakens from the world he left behind to a terrifying reality. There is only one person who can stand in front of SHODAN, who is trying to destroy life on Earth, and that is the hacker. He must accept the mission whether he wants to or not.

Minecraft Legends
The next step in the Minecraft universe, the open world game Minecraft Legends brings new friends and enemies. The game, which looks like a strategy game, is actually action/adventure orientated. It will be our duty to eliminate the damage caused by the Piglins attacking villages around the world and rebuild the damaged villages.

Dead Island 2
If your only concern is to get rid of the zombie infestation without waiting for a plot, Dead Island 2, which we have been waiting for a long time, will solve your problem. Set in a bloody Los Angeles, the game is overrun by zombies, including the city’s most iconic locations. Although it seems impossible to survive, the ubiquitous weapons in the city seem to increase our chances. Add the chance to play co-op and Los Angeles turns into a battlefield.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Story
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which takes place five years after Fallen Order, tells the story of Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, who is no longer a Padawan, and his struggle to destroy the last remaining members of Order 66 in order to take revenge on the Galactic Empire.
Proving how far we can go to get rid of the enemies surrounding him, the production is being developed by Respawn Entertainment. Jedi: Survivor, with its iconic Star Wars stories, worlds, and characters, is a thrill ride that was first experienced in Jedi: Fallen Order will take the exciting combat mechanics first experienced in Jedi: Fallen Order one step further.

Star Trek: Resurgence
Dramatic Laboratories, a new company founded by a group of former Telltale Games employees, is preparing Star Trek: Resurgence is being prepared by Dramatic Laboratories.
Star Trek: Resurgence is set in the year 2380 aboard the USS Resolute. It follows a scenario about two alien civilisations on the brink of conflict. Along the way, the narrative will switch between first officer Jara Rydek and engineer Carter Diaz.

Redfall
Story
It is set on the fictional community island of Redfall, Massachusetts. After a failed science experiment, the town is cut off from the outside world and overrun by vampires. Some of the surviving residents have even turned their backs on others.
In this chaotic environment, we have the chance to manage one of the four main characters. Remi de la Rosa, Devinder Crousley, Layla Ellison and Jacob Boye. Each of them has a unique power. Unfortunately it is not one of the upcoming PS5 games.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
When it comes to Zelda games, Nintendo isn’t very informative about their stories. This is the case for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. All we know is that we’ll harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight against the malevolent forces threatening the kingdom.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Story
Developed by Rocksteady Studios, creators of the Batman: Arkham series, Batman: Arkham features character-driven story gameplay. DC’s Super Villain Brainiac’s invading soldiers face off against DC’s Super Heroes sworn to protect Metropolis. Against advanced laser weapons, we must find new ways to save ourselves and the city, and destroy the enemy.

Street Fighter 6
Capcom’s legendary fighting game has experienced a spectacular comeback after the reboot. The new production of the series, which has not lost the leadership in the fighting category in the games of the year surveys in the past years, brings back many fighters we know closely. With the new fighters added to these, it will keep the genre lovers busy for a long time.
Luke, the main protagonist of Street Fighter 6, also plays an important role in the comic series. Luke is the first trainer of the avatar character you create in the story-based action mode World Tour and gives him an important place in the story.

Age of Wonders 4

The game doesn’t end when you win or lose. In successive games you will encounter your own creations as potential rivals or friends. In a new chapter of your adventure you will discover new magical realms with Age of Wonders’ unique strategy.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
The initial idea was shrouded in mystery. It was to be a new chapter set in the same setting as the story of the previous three games. According to various interviews, it was planned to have new mutants, new locations, new applications for artefacts and female followers, among other things.
It was also stated that the game’s main protagonist would be Strelok and that the level architecture would include a large single-domain game sphere to avoid loading times.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was confirmed for a 2021 release by GSC Game World’s Twitter account on May 15th, 2018, six years after its cancellation.
