Way of the Hunter 2 Release Date Announced

Way of the Hunter 2 is preparing to leave its Early Access period, which began on PC in March, behind. THQ Nordic and Nine Rocks Games announced the full release date, confirming that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will also be released on the same day. Players who pre-order will also receive the Heirloom Pack downloadable content.

When is Way of the Hunter 2 Released?

Way of the Hunter 2 will be released in full on September 29th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game has been in Early Access on Steam for PC since March 26th. Pre-orders are already open, and those who purchase will receive the Heirloom Pack DLC.

The new game aims to offer a more detailed and realistic hunting experience in the vast open spaces of North America. Players will be able to hunt deer, bears, bison, rabbits, turkeys, and various bird species in the Canadian wilderness. The game will also feature weapons, optics, and various hunting equipment from over 10 real-world brands.

One of the standout innovations is the hunting dog system. Dogs will be able to find animal tracks, follow blood trails, and help locate injured animals. Furthermore, they will become more skilled over time through continuous training and use. The improved Shot Review system will allow for the examination of details such as bullet speed, angle, trajectory, and point of impact.

Players can also plan their hunts, display their trophies, and unlock various upgrades through the Hunting Lodge. Vehicles, tents, bait, hiding places, night vision equipment, and advanced habitat tracking tools will also be part of the gameplay. Way of the Hunter 2 aims to be a hunting simulation that will be supported for a long time by utilizing player feedback received during Early Access.
