A New Look at Robert Pattinson has Emerged from the Set of The Batman Part II
While filming for The Batman Part II continues under the direction of Matt Reeves, new images from the set have more clearly shown Robert Pattinson’s return as Bruce Wayne. Previously shared videos mainly showed the scene with a stunt double rehearsing; this time, Pattinson is directly in front of the cameras. The most striking aspect of the scene is Bruce walking through a crowd of angry protesters as he exits a courthouse. It seems that the relationship between the Wayne family and the people of Gotham will not be very good this time.
The Batman Part II Could Put Bruce Wayne in the Target of Public Opinion
The banners carried by the protesters read, “Eat the rich,” “Oligarches must go,” “Your greed is killing us,” and “The rich get richer.” Although the Wayne family represents the elite of Gotham, they weren’t usually a family completely hated by the public. Therefore, how Bruce got to this point is a serious question mark for now.
Theories are circulating here that figures like the Court of Owls or Anarky may have manipulated the public, but none of these have been confirmed. The only clear message from the set images is that Bruce Wayne may no longer be able to move around Gotham as freely as before. So this time, the problem may not just be the criminals he encounters at night in his Batman costume.
In terms of the cast, Robert Pattinson will be joined by Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, and Jayme Lawson. Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry are among the new additions. There’s speculation that Stan could be Harvey Dent or Victor Zsasz, and Johansson could be Poison Ivy, but these haven’t been officially confirmed yet.
The Batman Part II was originally scheduled for October 1, 2027, but has been postponed to February 18, 2028. New set photos don’t reveal much about the story, but Bruce Wayne having lost public affection this time could be one of the most intriguing aspects of the sequel.
