Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Announced

The new release will offer both the Dragon’s Dogma II base game and the Dark Arisen expansion pack under one roof. Additionally, the expansion content will be available as separate DLCs for existing PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC players. Switch 2 owners will experience Dragon’s Dogma II for the first time with this release.
Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen Released October 9th
According to Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen will be released on October 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The PC version will be released via Steam. While the new package preserves the main game’s vast open-world structure, the Dark Arisen expansion will take players to a darker and more mysterious realm.
In the Dark Arisen expansion, the Arisen will be summoned to the long-abandoned northern region of Norgan. Here, players will join forces with the mysterious Eir to uncover the secrets of the immortal Fallen Dragon. Throughout the adventure, forgotten relics will be discovered and explored, unlocking powerful new weapons and abilities.
One of the expansion’s key new features is the 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenge. Designed by Pathfinder, these new dungeons will test players’ skills and offer the chance to find rare equipment belonging to past Arisens. New hairstyles, tattoos, and additional customization options will also be added to the character creation screen.
Capcom is also planning two major updates to enhance the main game before Dark Arisen. The June 9th update will add the reusable Eternal Ferrystone, making fast travel more accessible. The second update, arriving at the end of August, will bring improved frame rates, additional save slots, and new quality-of-life adjustments. Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen promises to offer a richer RPG experience for both new players and those wishing to return to the main game.
