Duskbloods are Preparing for Their First Major Test in August 2026
Duskbloods, developed by FromSoftware exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, is preparing for its first major testing phase for players who have long awaited new details since its announcement. The game will test its PvPvE-based multiplayer system with a limited number of participants. During the network test, server load, varying connection conditions, and gameplay balance will be examined, and participants will be able to try out matches supporting up to eight players.
Duskbloods Network Test Applications Open in July
The Duskbloods network test will take place between August 21-23, 2026. Players wishing to participate must complete their applications between July 22 at 7:00 AM and July 28 at 6:59 AM. These times are based on Pacific Time, and the results of selected participants will be announced later.
To apply, you must own a Nintendo Switch 2 and have an active Nintendo Switch Online account. The test will not be open to the public; only accepted players will have access. FromSoftware aims to measure the system’s stability under heavy load by connecting a large number of players to the servers simultaneously.
The development team will also examine issues such as lag, matchmaking, and connection drops that may occur between users playing over different internet connections. Unexpected technical issues that may arise during matches will be recorded, and the balance of characters, abilities, and other gameplay elements will be evaluated. The results may guide adjustments to the release version.
Participants will be able to try out PvPvE matches with up to eight players. This structure will allow players to fight each other and enemies in the game world simultaneously. It is specifically noted that since Duskbloods is still under development, bugs, performance issues, and incomplete features may be encountered in the test version. With this first network test, FromSoftware will be testing the game’s core multiplayer systems under real-world user conditions.
