Ratchet and Clank: Ranger Rumble Release Date Announced

The Ratchet and Clank universe is preparing to return with the new free-to-play mobile game Ranger Rumble. The game, for which PlayStation has launched a pre-registration process, will combine real-time player battles with PvE elements. Developed by Oh Bibi in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Insomniac Games, the game will feature classic characters alongside previously unseen heroes.

Ratchet and Clank Ranger Rumble Pre-Registration Opens

Pre-registration for Ratchet and Clank: Ranger Rumble has officially begun on the iOS and Android stores. The App Store listing suggests the game may be released on October 5, 2026. However, this date has not yet been confirmed by the development team. Following limited testing in Canada, France, Northern Europe, and parts of Asia, the team is now preparing for a global release.

The game’s story will revolve around a combat simulation created by Captain Qwark to select the next generation of Galactic Rangers. Players will be able to choose from well-known heroes from the series’ past, utilize character-specific abilities, and participate in arena battles with explosive weapons from the Ratchet and Clank universe. It’s noted that the simulation might not be as reliable as it appears due to Qwark’s involvement in the project.

Ranger Rumble will offer a total of 12 playable characters at launch. The roster will include veteran heroes, robots, new Lombax characters, and previously unseen characters. Each hero will have their own unique playstyle, design, and cosmetic items. The game will feature six different modes, including fast-paced PvP matches, PvE battles against waves of enemies, battle royale, and football-themed options.

As pre-registration numbers reach certain levels, new rewards will be unlocked for all players. These rewards include in-game resources such as Qredits, Reebos, and Raritanium. A special Clank Suit costume for the Widget character will be distributed upon reaching the highest goal. Ratchet and Clank: Ranger Rumble aims to grow the series on mobile platforms with a structure different from the main console games.
