Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Release Date Announced
The release date for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was clarified at the closing of the September 2026 State of Play event. Square Enix announced that the third and final game in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy will be released on April 8, 2027. Introduced during last year’s Summer Game Fest, Revelation has been shown more frequently in recent months with new trailers and developer interviews. Following Gamescom Opening Night Live, an extended presentation at State of Play removed the most significant uncertainty regarding the game’s release schedule.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Release Date Announced as April 8, 2027
The new trailer shown at the end of State of Play provided a closer look at the playable characters and their roles in the story. Cloud and other members of the group, as well as Aerith and Zack, were briefly featured again. Following the trailer, the expected release date was revealed.
Square Enix had previously announced that the game would be released in early 2027. The April 8th release date aligns with this general timeline. Thus, for players awaiting the final installment of the trilogy, a definite release date has replaced the approximate timeframe.
The presentation wasn’t limited to just the new trailer. Following the release date announcement, extensive gameplay footage from Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was also shown. While detailed information about all systems wasn’t shared in the source material, new glimpses into character gameplay and the game’s overall structure were included.
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will be the final chapter in the retelling that began with Remake and Rebirth.
