In GTA 6, If You Go Too Far, There Might be No Turning Back
GTA 6 is preparing to offer a structure that retains the series’ usual freedom while giving more weight to the players’ actions. According to shared information, Jason and Lucia’s behavior will be tracked through separate crime profiles that develop over time. This mechanic, reminiscent of the honor system in Red Dead Redemption 2, will work in a more detailed way than the classic good-evil distinction and will lead to the characters gaining different classifications based on their actions in Vice City.
GTA 6 Crime Profile Could Reach a Point of No Return
According to the details that have emerged, Jason and Lucia will be able to have different crime profiles such as Professional, Aggressive, Violent, and Psycho. In addition to these, there is also a fifth level whose name is not yet known. Allegedly, when the player reaches this stage, it will no longer be possible to completely erase the character’s bad reputation.
It’s currently unknown exactly how this system will affect the story. However, considering that Arthur Morgan’s honor level in Red Dead Redemption 2 altered some story elements, it’s suggested that in GTA 6, the player’s constant use of violence could have certain consequences. Rockstar hasn’t yet revealed details of this fifth level.
Rob Nelson, co-head of the game’s development team, also states that players’ freedom will be protected. According to Nelson, there won’t be a single right way to play in GTA 6; players will still be able to create large-scale chaos. The difference is that some actions will now have more significant consequences on surrounding events.
The fact that Jason and Lucia’s criminal records are kept separate also makes the system more interesting. Players can choose to play Lucia as more aggressive and Jason as more controlled, or vice versa. This allows the two characters to develop different criminal profiles, creating more room to experiment with different approaches to the same situations.
