Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album Announced

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album has been officially announced in collaboration with Rockstar Games and Atlantic Records. While the music from the GTA series has been a beloved part of the games for years, the new title seems poised to further this tradition. Rockstar will release the soundtrack to GTA 6 as a separate album alongside the game’s launch.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album to Come with 34 New Songs

According to the announcement, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will consist of a total of 34 completely new and original tracks. Rockstar states that the album will feature numerous artists from various musical genres. While we’ll have to wait a little longer to listen to the entire album, the first six songs have already been released on music platforms.

The first tracks feature artists from quite diverse genres, including Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., Keith Richards, Morgan Wallen, and Rauw Alejandro. The fact that Travis Scott’s track “RHYNO” was produced by Daft Punk member Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo suggests the album will be quite ambitious in terms of production.

Rockstar won’t be releasing the album digitally; CD and vinyl versions are being prepared for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. In addition, collectible versions such as a limited edition liquid-filled vinyl, a special patterned vinyl, and a classic CD case will also be available. Different stores will offer special cover designs and vinyls in various colors.

Naturally, the album’s release date coincides with GTA 6. Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the album will be released on the same day. Rockstar’s decision to make the music side a separate project indicates that GTA 6 will be released not just as a game, but as a broad cultural package surrounding it.
