Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat – New Action Trailer Released

Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat returns as a complete remaster of the 2022 Gungrave G.O.R.E. from Studio IGGYMOB. The latest trailer focuses particularly on the combat system. While Grave’s classic gunfights are retained, new mechanics such as melee attacks, a parry system, and counter-attacks seem poised to significantly alter the game’s pace.

Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat Rebuilds the Combat System

The new version won’t just be a visual remaster. The game is being redeveloped with Unreal Engine 5, and many elements, from character models and environments to effects and cinematic scenes, are being reworked. Studio IGGYMOB says they aim for a smoother experience, better suited to modern hardware, while preserving the core Gungrave feel.

The combat system is also at the heart of this change. Thanks to new parry and parry counter mechanics, Grave will no longer just progress by constantly firing. Close-range attacks, new movement options, and faster transitions will offer players a much more aggressive fighting style. Controls have also been upgraded from an eight-way structure to a 360-degree movement system.

Enemy AI and encounters are also being revamped. The use of more varied enemy movements and increased interaction with objects on the battlefield aims to reduce the repetitive feel criticized in the previous game. Character animations have also been completely redesigned.

Blood Heat will also feature new characters not previously seen. Beyond the Grave’s design has been reworked by Yasuhiro Nightow. Judging by the new trailer, Gungrave G.O.R.E: Blood Heat is not only trying to fix the mistakes of the old game but also to redefine the series’ action concept from scratch.
