Road Kings Announced Release Date at Gamescom 2026
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment released a new trailer for Road Kings during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 and announced the game’s release date. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, the game takes players to the long highways of the American South, focusing not only on driving trucks but also on building their own transportation careers step by step. Set in areas inspired by the Florida-Georgia border, the game combines realistic driving systems with natural disasters and changing road conditions.
Road Kings to Hit the Roads on March 11, 2027
The most important announcement of the Gamescom presentation was the release date. Road Kings will be released on March 11, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players will take the wheel of 40-ton trucks, transport various loads, and make deliveries along routes stretching from Jacksonville to Savannah.
On the driving side, simply turning the steering wheel won’t be enough. The truck’s weight, brakes, torque, tires, transmission, and overall wear will directly affect handling. Dynamic weather conditions and changing road surfaces will also make each delivery slightly different. Monitoring fuel levels, obeying traffic rules, and not ignoring service schedules will also be important parts of the career.
Road Kings’ interesting aspect is that it builds a more story-driven structure on top of the classic truck simulation. Players will start as a rookie driver, gain reputation through their work, and eventually establish their own transportation company. Relationships with rival drivers, different clients, and local companies will also influence which jobs open up and how the career develops.
Natural and man-made disasters will sometimes completely change the game’s pace. Some missions will require helping communities or delivering critical supplies to dangerous areas. The Gamescom trailer also clearly shows that Saber Interactive has adapted its vehicle physics experience from SnowRunner and RoadCraft to long-haul transportation this time.
