The Release Date for The Wolf Among Us Remastered has been Announced
Telltale’s 2013 release, The Wolf Among Us, which has garnered a solid fanbase over the years, is returning with a Remastered version. Players will once again control Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, and investigate a murder in this dark world inhabited by fairytale characters. Announced at Summer Game Fest 2026, the release date of the remastered version was confirmed with a new gameplay trailer released during Gamescom week.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered will be released on October 29, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. On PC, the game will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The new version will not change the story; the main goal is to improve the atmosphere and visual storytelling of the 2013 game on modern systems.
On the visual side, characters and environments are being reworked, while animations, sound quality, resolution, and frame rate are also being improved. The user interface will be modernized, and accessibility options will be expanded. This will create a more comfortable experience, especially for players who are playing the game for the first time after many years.
The remastered version will also add a new option called Noir Mode. In addition, the package will include over an hour of bonus content. Behind-the-scenes videos, player interviews, visual galleries, and scenes extracted from the original development process will give us a closer look at how Fabletown was created.
The Wolf Among Us remains one of Telltale’s most beloved story-driven games, and even after 13 years, Bigby’s story hasn’t lost its dark comic book feel. Instead of trying to completely change the game, the remastered version, coming on October 29th, will preserve its beloved aspects and technically improve it. For those waiting for a sequel, it looks like it will be a great excuse to revisit Fabletown.
