Chaotic Co-op Sandbox Game Dumpster Gang Announced
Curve Games and Coyote House Games have officially announced their new co-production, Dumpster Gang. The game centers around a mischievous gang of raccoons controlled by one to four players. The objective is quite simple: complete absurd missions, steal as much as you can carry, and stay as far away as possible from the Exterminator trying to catch you. The first trailer clearly shows that the game aims for hilarious chaos that gets completely out of control when played with friends, rather than a serious crime simulation.
Dumpster Gang: Raccoons Causing Chaos in the Neighborhood
Players will be able to knock over trash cans, steal shiny items, loot snacks, and use almost anything they find in the environment. The raccoons’ mobility is also a key part of the game. They will be able to climb walls, pass through ventilation shafts, and enter places that are normally inaccessible.
On the co-op side, things naturally get a bit more complicated. You’ll need to work together to carry heavy loot, solve puzzles, and rescue captured teammates. However, the developers specifically state that plans don’t always go as expected. Betrayals, accidents, and silly mistakes will be a natural part of the experience.
When players have caused enough chaos, the Exterminator steps in. This character will set traps to catch the gang and constantly track the players. Rescuing captured teammates will be the other raccoons’ job. This structure ensures that missions don’t just involve collecting items, but become chases.
After missions, players can return to their hideout. Here, they can customize their raccoons, unlock hats with different abilities, and decorate the base with quirky items stolen during missions. Dumpster Gang will be released in December for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game will also be added to Game Pass from day one.
