4 New Batman Movies Coming Before Batman Part 2
DC continues to expand the Dark Knight’s universe ahead of The Batman 2. Warner Bros. and DC Studios are preparing to offer audiences four new Batman projects in the next two years, spanning a variety of genres. Each project will explore Gotham’s dark atmosphere from a different perspective.

Batman: The Caped Crusader 2 Is Coming
Developed by DC animation legend Bruce Timm, Batman: The Caped Crusader continues its noir-style detective story set in 1940s Gotham with its second season. Featuring new interpretations of characters like Harley Quinn, Two-Face, and the female Penguin, the series recounts the Dark Knight’s rise to fame. Starring voice talents like Hamish Linklater, Christina Ricci, and Diedrich Bader, the series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2026.
Batman: Knightfall Part 1 Coming Soon
Warner Bros. Animation is reimagining one of the most unforgettable stories in DC history: Batman: Knightfall. Adapted from the classic 1990s comic book, the film follows the chaotic aftermath of Bane’s release of all the criminals from Arkham Asylum. The story pushes Batman’s physical and mental limits, forcing him to confront his own darkness. The film is directed by Jeff Warner and written by Jeremy Adams. It is expected to be released in 2026.
A Clayface Solo Movie is Coming Soon
The DC Cinematic Universe is preparing to host a dark solo story. The Clayface movie will follow the terrifying transformation of Matt Hagen, one of Batman’s most fearsome foes. Directed by James Watkins, the screenwriter is Mike Flanagan, and starring Tom Rhys Harries. The film will tell the tragedy of a shapeshifting monster in the bleak atmosphere of Gotham. The film, which will be released on September 11, 2026, will be one of DC’s darkest projects with its R-rated (adults-only) structure.
Batwheels Season 3 Coming to Max
Batwheels, designed for younger audiences, returns with its third season. The animated series, which portrays DC’s iconic vehicles in a fun way, focuses on characters such as the Batmobile, Batgirl Cycle, and Batwing. Batman, voiced by Ethan Hawke, is joined by Jacob Bertrand and Leah Lewis. The new season will focus on the heroic vehicles’ adventures of friendship, courage, and teamwork. It will premiere on Max in 2026.
These four new projects from DC aim to keep the brand strong in the lead-up to The Batman 2. These productions, which appeal to both adults and young audiences, will allow us to rediscover the different faces of the Dark Knight.
