Could ARC Raiders Be Bigger Than Fortnite?

This claim, made by Shroud during a live stream, was met with surprise even within the ARC Raiders community. The streamer stated that the game is the biggest title to emerge after Fortnite, and argued that it will surpass strong competitors like VALORANT and Apex Legends. Some players considered this a bold prediction, while others found it overly exaggerated.

On the factual side, it’s undeniable that ARC Raiders had an impressive launch. The Embark Studios title quickly reached hundreds of thousands of players after its October 30th release, achieving a level of stability rarely seen in extraction games. While many similar games quickly lost players, ARC Raiders managed to maintain its active player count.

However, a direct comparison with Fortnite is still difficult in terms of numbers. Fortnite, with over 40 million concurrent players to date, holds an unparalleled position among live-service games. While ARC Raiders has achieved significant success on Steam with approximately 480,000 concurrent players, it’s not yet at Fortnite’s level in this regard.

Despite this, expectations for the future of ARC Raiders are high.
