Black Flag Resynced 8 is Coming with 8 New Endgame Missions

Black Flag Resynced appears to offer more than just a visually revamped Assassin’s Creed Black Flag experience. Preview discussions with Ubisoft Singapore developers revealed that 8 new endgame missions have been added. These new missions will unlock after the completion of Edward Kenway’s original story and will allow players to delve deeper into the dark side of the piracy era.

Black Flag Resynced Expands with New Endgame Missions

In the new endgame missions, Edward Kenway will face off against the historic pirate hunter Robert Miller. These additional missions are said to provide more context to Blackbeard’s story. For players who felt some events were rushed through in the original game, these missions may offer more satisfying answers to the question, “What exactly happened there?”

According to the development team, these missions are designed as complementary content added after the main story, rather than altering it. This means players can choose to experience Edward’s classic saga close to the original flow, or they can veer off into this new route after the story ends. This choice structure shows that the remake is trying to strike a balance between preserving nostalgia and adding new elements.

The content added to Black Flag Resynced isn’t limited to these 8 missions. The game will also feature new side quests, new islands to explore, and new final missions for beloved characters. According to Ubisoft, all the new content combined will offer players approximately 6 hours of additional gameplay. This takes the remake beyond just a technical update.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag already held a special place as one of the most beloved games in the series. Reliving Edward Kenway’s pirate adventure is exciting in itself, and the addition of new missions that expand the story seems like a nice bonus for Black Flag fans. Black Flag Resynced will be released on July 9th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
