GTA 6 Leaker Cyberleek Disappeared with $250,000
Cyberleek, which shared 15 unauthorized gameplay videos of GTA 6, placed QR codes and promotional messages for its memecoin, $CYBERLEEK, on each video. As the leaks progressed, the cryptocurrency promotion became increasingly aggressive. However, a large transfer reportedly occurring in the early hours of August 27th both crashed the token price and strengthened the idea that the leaks might have ended.
Cyberleek Falls Silent After $250,000 Transfer
According to information reported by Vice Cit, which tracks Cyberleek’s crypto movements on GTAForums, approximately $250,000 worth of assets were moved to different wallets. Following the transfers, the $CYBERLEEK price rapidly declined. The token, which peaked at around $0.034, fell below $0.005, losing approximately 86% of its value.
While this move doesn’t look like a classic “rug pull,” the process is still quite suspicious. Allegedly, the Cyberleek team burned their remaining 270 million tokens, giving the market the appearance of a long-term project. Instead of directly draining the price, it’s claimed they’re collecting revenue from transaction fees over the past week.
The coin’s market capitalization has also plummeted. At one point, it reached $23.39 million, then dropped to $11 million, and subsequently to approximately $3.23 million. The money from transaction fees is said to have been transferred to three different locations, one of which is a privacy-focused platform designed to make tracing difficult.
It’s still unclear whether Cyberleek actually gained access to the full code of GTA 6. The absence of detailed mission information or extensive story sections in the shared images strengthens the possibility that access was actually limited to a restricted test version.
The leaker’s increasingly explicit calls for token support in recent messages also gave the impression that resources were running out. No new GTA 6 screenshots have been released yet, and it’s thought that Cyberleek may have completely stopped the leaks. Rockstar and Take-Two are reportedly trying to find the person or persons responsible.
