Will Sofia Falcone be in The Batman Part II?
In the finale of The Penguin series, Sofia was sent back to Arkham, but the letter she received from Selina Kyle showed that the character’s story wasn’t completely over yet. Therefore, many viewers were expecting Cristin Milioti to return in The Batman Part II. The potential reunion between Sofia and Selina was seen as one of the strongest connections that could be carried over into the sequel.
Sofia Falcone Will Not Be in The Batman Part II
In an interview about her new film Buddy, Cristin Milioti explicitly stated that she will not appear in The Batman Part II. While stating that there is no possibility of seeing herself in the film, she also didn’t hide her desire to return to this world. Milioti expressed that she is ready to reprise the role of Sofia if given the opportunity.
This announcement largely ends the expectations built after The Penguin finale. Sofia’s return to Arkham and the letter from Selina Kyle left the door wide open for the possibility of the two characters’ paths crossing. However, it seems that this story will not continue in The Batman Part II.
Sofia’s absence actually aligns with the film’s other character choices. While it’s stated that Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobb is expected to appear in only a few scenes in the sequel, Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman character is also said to be absent. This suggests that Matt Reeves will focus on different characters and a new storyline in the second film.
However, Sofia Falcone’s story isn’t entirely closed. While there are no official plans for a second season of The Penguin, it’s still possible for the character to return to the Batman universe later. Cristin Milioti’s openness to the role keeps this possibility alive. For now, the only thing certain is that Sofia will not be in The Batman Part II cast.
