Project Comet, one of the new projects preparing to join the Marvel franchise, has already garnered attention through leaks. Reportedly developed by Scopely, the game could bring the studio’s mobile experience from titles like Marvel Strike Force, Monopoly GO, and Star Trek Fleet Command to a more action-oriented Marvel format. While official information is still limited, recent leaks provide a good idea of Project Comet’s character roster, gameplay structure, and systems.
Project Comet Brings Marvel Heroes to Co-op Missions
The initial information was brought to light by Miller Ross, who shares insights from within the industry. It was rumored that the game would enter a closed testing phase for iOS and Android users, but details were scarce at the time. Later, the leak source MultiverSusie shared character models, sound files, interface screenshots, and gameplay descriptions allegedly belonging to the game on X, clarifying the picture somewhat.
According to leaks, Project Comet will utilize gacha mechanics similar to Genshin Impact. Players will be able to unlock, upgrade, and create different team combinations of Marvel heroes and villains. It’s also claimed that the game will offer four-player replayable co-op missions inspired by the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series. Higher difficulty options are expected to be linked to better rewards.
The leaked character roster is also quite impressive. Alongside popular names like Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine, more niche characters such as Elektra, Juggernaut, and Silver Samurai are also on the list. Based on the visible interface, each character will have multiple active abilities, which players will utilize via on-screen buttons in a classic mobile game style.
Whether the game will be released on PC is currently unknown. So far, leaks point mostly to mobile platforms. Another noteworthy detail is that some character models resemble designs from Marvel Rivals. This is said to be because some artists who worked on Marvel Rivals also contributed to Project Comet. Since there has been no official announcement yet, all this information should be evaluated cautiously, but Project Comet may indicate that Marvel is aiming for a bigger and longer-lasting game on mobile.
